Friends work spotted in the wild!

Our friend Marsha (mardeen) has a poem published today at The Book Times!

Mark I wanted to let you know I submitted to The Book Times. They are considering publishing the piece after some changes to it (You know editors-gotta pee in the broth their own selves before they like the soup..;)) But B said to say thank you for sending folks their way.

B will work with fiction/prose writing but doesn't do much, if any, editing on poetry. Mainly because she doesn't feel comfortable enough to muck with it.

She does worry about content and appropriateness so that would be something she might edit or advise on. I hope it works out for you.

Thank you very much-both you and she are very kind! But the piece I submitted was an essay/life memory-"Hot Mangoes" that I pposted in my lj about a year ago.

You should see what she did to a 500 word piece of fiction I sent. :-)

I need to do a massive rewrite of it, and she was right. About everything she commented on. So, in this case, I trust her eyes and editorial sense.

Matt just drew a little doodle (that's what he calls them) based on my idiotic request. I think it's beyond cool, to be honest...

Uncle Homicidal Bacon....heh.

And yeah, it's great to see Marsha's poetry out there. And yours....
